BAM's Next Wave Gala featured a performance by James Thiérée — the master of "nouveau cirque" and grandson of Charlie Chaplin.

For these pieces I drew influence from French circus advertisements dating to the early 20th century. This aesthetic, combined with a BAM sensibility made for a modern, fun, yet classy identity for the gala event.

The system included an invitation, RSVP card, envelopes, menu, tickets, program and signage.
